Multiple Myeloma Ireland Educational Grant 2020

Application Deadline: January 31st 2020.

Overview

Multiple Myeloma Ireland (MMI) is the only registered charity in Ireland dedicated to providing support and education for those living with a diagnosis of myeloma. We are delighted to be offering this opportunity to individuals working in haematology. These grants were made possible through the kind donation from the estate of Bartholomew O’Leary and fundraising events.

MMI wishes to fund TWO health care professionals or scientists (The first grant of €10,000 from this fund was awarded in 2018). The grants must be used to further the applicants’ knowledge and expertise in the field of myeloma, for instance, to fund a research study on myeloma, or fund an extension to a current research study on myeloma or an immersion experience in an international centre of excellence for myeloma.

Successful applicants will be required to disseminate their study findings at the annual Multiple Myeloma Information day and at the Haematology Association of Ireland annual conference. The successful applicants may also be interviewed by a medical writer commissioned by Multiple Myeloma Ireland.
