Day out at the the National Stud – June 2015.

On Saturday the 20th June 2015 our group made an outing to the National Stud & Japanese Gardens in Kildare. It is very easy to get to as it’s just off the M7. However some of us travelled by train on the day. We rendezvoused at the restaurant beside the reception area before heading into the gardens. As people arrived at different times we waited and had lunch. During this time we got to meet the family and friends of the multiple myeloma members of our group. We ate at a long table. The food was very good and mainly local produce.

Our conversations ranged from gardening to fashion. We joked, laughed and exchanged our stories over lunch. We then decided to make our way through the gardens or stud, depending on personal preferences. It was a lovely day and the sun was shining most of the time. At about 4:30pm we found ourselves back in the restaurant for tea & coffee before going our separate ways. It was great to have such a pleasant day out in nice surroundings with good company. I plan to go next year as I’m sure it will be another great day too.
